(In the panel on the left) A man in shirt-sleeves, shaking his head, turns around and lets out his razor with the pain of his leg in the water of a kettle spilled on a table to the left behind him. (In the panel on the right) A man, 3/4 to the left, skating on a canal, makes a movement to the right, but too late to escape the danger that threatens the ice that has just broken under his feet. Hat pressed on the forehead, muffler covering the figure.
