A young man seen from the back, a cloak over his shoulders, looks to the side to see if anyone notices him follow. A milliner, whom one sees at right toward the background walking toward the right, carrying a hat box in one hand. At left, on a wall, a sign on which one reads, "Sans rien - payer."
