An interview with Kenneth E. Kruckemeyer, who is originally from Cincinnati and a longtime resident of the South End since the late 1960s. Kruckemeyer is an urbanist and transportation strategist, who has worked at state and local levels in Massachusetts, including for the Department of Public Works in the 1980s and early 1990s, and founded the LivableStreets Alliance in 2005. In this interview, he discusses the changing urban fabric and housing in the neighborhood over the course of his lifetime, and professional interactions with colleagues in the fields of architecture and urbanism in the 1970s and 1980s. Kruckemeyer also talks about the role of the United South End Settlements' (USES) Harriet Tubman House on the community.
