Beyond a stretch of beach, on which a patch of grass is growing, rises a high bushy bank, on which, at the left, are a few trees, one of them bearing a signboard. At the right is roughish water under a lowering sky. In the foreground, at the right, a woman wearing a trailing skirt and a jacket, and a hat covered by a veil, is walking toward the bank. The plate is unsigned.
