La Salute: Dawn

In the distance, seen across a broad expanse of water, are the domes of the Salute, at the right of the Dogana. Somewhat to the right, a large campanile dominates a group of buildings, in front of which a small tower rises from the water. At the extreme right, two domes appear. At the left is a long line of buildings, including the Doge's Palace, near which lies a steamship. Beyond the buildings two small campaniles and the great campanile are seen, and the domes of San Marco. The butterfly, shaded, is near the left edge, in the lower half of the plate.
