Here and Now, Gary George sentencing, Federal judge in Milwaukee sentenced former state Senator Gary George to four years of prison. George pleaded guilty conspiracy using his state office for personal gain by arranging kickback schemes tied to state contracts. Senator George and his attorney declined our invitation to appear on 'Here and Now.' Earlier today Art Hackett had an opportunity to speak with the U.S. Prosecuting Attorney via telephone. Gary George sentencing, Gary George intends to appeal his case. Barring any delays by an appeal he is scheduled to report to federal prison in September.
