Here and Now, falk enters AG race, Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk enters race for Attorney General. Falk is challenging incumbent A.G. fellow democrat, and friend Peg Lautenschlager. Lautenschlauger declined our invitation to come tonight. Kathleen Falk joins us now. lead paint lawsuits, State Senate Bill 402 makes it more difficult for someone to sue paint companies over health (lead) claims. Wisconsin Supreme Court just ruled to allow Milwaukee teenager to proceed with his lawsuit against lead-paint manufacturers. The state's high court was the first in the nation to authorize individual lawsuits against the companies. Brookfield republican Senator Ted Kanavas introduced the bill. He and Milwaukee Democratic Senator Lena Taylor are in Milwaukee. Senator Taylor voted against the measure. florence county school district referenda passed tape, Florence County school district voters narrowly approved spending five million dollars more than state revenue caps allow over the next five years in order to keep the school district running. The election came after the district's board voted to dissolve the school district after three prior referenda failed.
