Our all-journalist Line panel digs behind the headlines to chronicle the news that held our attention this past year. And our American Graduate series continues this week as we search for solutions to the dropout crisis. We peek into the Working Classroom, a program providing a non-profit, arts-based learning experience that’s proving successful at keeping kids interested in their education. NMiF producer Matt Grubs interviews Gil Herrera, of Sandia National Labs, about the “Clean Room”. Willis Whitfield, a Sandia National Laboratories Physicist who passed away this fall at the age of 92, is the inventor of the “Laminar Flow Clean Room”.
