Dr. Mary-Beth Cooper began her presidency as the 13th president of Springfield College in August 2013. Prior to the Springfield College presidency, Cooper served as senior vice president for student affairs at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York. She joined RIT in 2001, after having been dean of students at the University of Rochester since 1997 and, prior to that, vice president for student affairs at St. John Fisher College. Cooper has two doctorates—a doctor of philosophy in education administration from Michigan State University and a doctor of management from Case Western Reserve University. She also has a master’s degree in education from the University of Georgia, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Rochester, and a bachelor of arts from the University of Delaware.
