Here and Now, Walter Reed Center, Reports from wounded veterans that their care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, specifically in outpatient facilities, was unsatisfactory. Midweek, President Bush called on former senator Bob Dole and former secretary of health, Donna Shalala, to lead a commission that will investigate the complaints. Meanwhile, some veterans, including our first guest tonight, look back in frustration at their stay at Walter Reed. (With full screen photographs of Chris in Iraq and recovery), Lake Superior Water Temperature, A team of scientists at the University of Minnesota-Duluth has been tracking annual water temperatures in Lake Superior. They discovered that the average lake temp is increasing at twice the rate of air temperatures in the area.
