Bethpage State Park is one of the State Parks under the jurisdiction of the Long Island State Park Commission. Distance from New York City, 37 miles. Bethpage State Park occupies a rolling wooded tract, just north of the Village of Farmingdale. Four 18-hole golf courses are operated from a centrally located clubhouse. There are over 5 miles of bridle paths and trails. A polo game is played each Sunday afternoon during the season, on a beautiful field in the Park. A picnic grove equipped with comfort station, drinking water, tables and fireplaces is located in the northwesterly section of the park.
