Wildwood State Park is one of the State Parks under the jurisdiction of the Long Island State Park Commission. Distance from New York City, 73 miles. This park is noted for its excellent camp sites overlooking the Long Island Sound. Campers must bring their own tents and camping equipment. Bathing in the Sound is a feature at this park, also picnicking. There is a refreshment stand in the picnic area where foodstuffs and soft drinks may be purchased.
