'Members of Malden Russian Community participated in the opening celebration of Malden Reads. It was my second year as a volunteer at Malden Reads. I not only helped to organize the program and that event but also prepared information and photographs for the Malden Reads website. My parents, Avrom Babitskiy and Svetlana Babitskaya, as well as other members of the Russian community of Malden, were greatly interested in Malden Reads. They actively contributed to the development of the cultural connections between different ethnic groups of Malden. The photograph was made in the art gallery of Malden Public Library, where the opening celebration took place. During my work as a volunteer for the Malden Reads, I became acquainted with many interesting people, living in Malden, and I'm really grateful for that. Pictured, from left to right: Arkady Davidkovich, Svetlana Babitskaya, Avrom Babitskiy, Nina Davidkoivch, Malden Mayor Gary Christenson, Lilya Pustilnick, Lyubov Shtender, Volko Faynshteyn, and Isaac Shtender.'
