With Martha Graham's arm around her waist, and three other female dancers looking on, Keller holds her hands over her head, while a male dancer balances on the edge of a raised platform directly in front of her. While filming Helen Keller in Her Story, Helen Keller visited Martha Graham's dance studio in 1954. There she listened to drums by feeling their beats, and participated in several of the dances by feeling the vibrations of the music and movement of those around her. More footage from her visit to the studio can be seen in this video.
