This full-length depiction of Madonna and Child sits in an alcove at the southern end of the east wall. The baby raises his hand in benediction, while two angels hover above the figures. Their scrolls bear the Latin translations of the "Vessel of the Spirit," the "Chosen Vessel," the "Closed Garden," the "Tower of David," and the "Tower of Ivory."
