A profile of Electronic Café network created to join people together from throughout the world through mass-communication technology. Videophones and internet used to create and share art, performances, and ideas. Featured is world-renowned media theorist Gene Youngblood who has centered his life around the myth of the communications revolution. One of his beliefs is that television broadcasting is the most destructive forces in the world. Youngblood sees the broadcast as a one-way, mass-audience delivery system owned and operated by those institutions that cause most of the problems in the world today. However, this can be changed when everyone will have the opportunity to use media/broadcasting in a "non-hierarchical conversational system instead of a communication system..."
