In this fragment of a letter to William Lloyd Garrison, Henry Wigham writes he is "still deeply interested in thee & the Cause with which thou art allied." Wigham reports that interest in the antislavery movement is growing in the United Kingdom "principally caused by the publication & extensive circulation of Uncle Tom's Cabin" and this has led to public meetings and more attempts to aid the movement. Wigham also tells Garrison that the [bazaar] boxes sent from Edinburgh & Dublin "are larger than last year" and comments that the Liberator "would be none the less interesting withouth those theological letters ... of our friend Henry C. Wright. Joseph Barker's letters also we are not very fond of," Wigham adds.
