Black and white photographs of the May 4, 1974 festival of the arts organized by the Valley Attica Defense Coalition to raise money for Attica Brothers Legal Defense. Included are photos of the events held during the festival inside and outside of the Alumni Gymnasium and Athletic Complex. Performers photographed include poets Sonia Benita Sanchez and Zoe Best and the gospel group Voices of New Africa. A band (possibly the Bill Hartman Jazz Quartet) and another unidentified speaker are also photographed. These photographs were taken by the College Photographer for the Office of Public Affairs (now the Office of Communications). The name of the photographer is unknown.
