Mrs. Jere Lee Cross, 34-year-old wife of a diving-school operator, descended into the ocean to a depth of 152 feet today, in what was claimed as a record deep sea dive for a woman. Her husband, C.R. Cross, accompanied her on the dive and, with a special camera, photographed her on the ocean floor. In photo at left, she's shown walking on the ocean floor two miles off Point Fermin. At right, the adventurous Mrs. Cross is shown receiving a kiss form her husband after she surfaced. She wore standard diving equipment.
