Bear Mountain, N.Y. The only girl among a choice field of male athletes in the Torger Tokle Ski Jump at Bear Mountain yesterday, Dorothy Graves (above), a native of Greenfield, Mass., who was a Marine corporal during the war, made a jump of 109 feet, not as good as the 148 feet with which Art Devlin won, but plenty good for a gal. She jumped to fulfill a promise to Torger Tokle, ski champion who was killed in action in Italy while serving with the 10th Mountain Division. Miss Graves is the only woman ski jumper in the country.
