Postcard shows a view of Wakefield High School on Main Street at the location of the current Galvin Middle School parking lot. The building was opened in 1923 and was later known as the Atwell building in honor of Superintendent of Schools Willard B. Atwell. It was destroyed by fire on December 12, 1971.
