'This photo was taken at the Brush Gallery and it highlighted contemporary and ethnic art, culture, and clothing of the Laotian Community. We brought Laotians from Washington, D.C., Seattle, Minneapolis, New York City, Boston, and Lowell together for the first time, and we shared our collective stories from Laos. Pictured: Blong Xiong (far left), Bonnie Xiong, Linda Poras (center, back row), Mali Kouanchao, Niphasone Manipakone (back row, far right), Channapha Khamvongsa (far left, front row), Phitsamay Sychitkokhong Uy, and Islanda Khau (far right, bottom row).'
