This photograph shows 1984 Olympic Gold Medalists Jeff Blatnick (left; class of 1979) and Tim Daggett (right). They are standing next to a giant birthday candle at the exhibition gymnastics show celebrating Springfield College’s 100th Anniversary on November 10, 1984. Behind them is the American flag, and at their feet are the words, "Happy Birthday." Art Linkletter was the master of ceremonies, and the event was held at the Springfield Civic Center (now called the MassMutual Center).
