Artist Tony Abeyta's father, renowned traditional Navajo painter Narcisco Abeyta, sold a painting 25 years ago, which he had hoped to get $100 or $200 all while working full-time as an interpreter. These days, Tony Abeyta makes a living from his art—an excellent example of a contemporary southwest Indigenous artist whose struggles for success differ dramatically from his predecessors. Guests: Tony Abeyta, Patricia Michaels Abeyta, Candy Madrid (Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian).
