'I study Buddhism and Buddhism came to P'town ca. 2000 when a band of monks travelling the US came to PAAM (Provincetown Art Association & Museum) and constructed a mandala over the period of a week. You could sit and watch and meditate, many people came. When done, to demonstrate the core teaching of impermanance--they carried it across the street and poured it into the bay. This photo is of that day.'
