Phil talks about the mail he's received and is glad to hear that Harry seems to be well so far, thinking that as long as they feed him he'll be able to overlook many little hardships. Art's contracting business is still looking for customers, and Helen has been visiting Aunt Annie which Phil is glad of. He's sorry to hear of Aunt Sophia's death and names their surviving relatives.
