'This photo was taken as part of a workshop at the Fine Arts Work Center with Amy Arbus, called the Narrative Portrait. Lawrence is a friend and owner of Snip Salon on Commercial St. He had to spray the woman's hair outside because she was singing later that night and didn't want the hairspray to ruin her voice.
