[Front] Portrait of Homer B. Hardwell, at age 4, reclining in an arm chair with a big smile and his right hand clasping his foot. At four months Homer became ill with cholera infantum and later meningitis. The meningitis left him deaf with very poor sight. He was a student at Perkins.
