Heart patient wins degree

Tears of joy drop on the bachelor of arts degree of Colorado State College graduate Linda Cornish, 22, of Arvada, Colo. Two years ago she underwent a delicate and dangerous heart operation in which she was given only a 50-50 chance of recovery. Linda said after commencement exercises Sunday that the degree was "my reward for the trust that I placed in God."
