A manuscript copy of the terms of indenture of Justin Hitchcock (Edward Hitchcock's father) transcribed by Edward Hitchcock, Jr. The document establishes the terms under which Justin Hitchcock would apprentice with Moses Church to learn the art of hat making. The original document, created in 1766, was signed by Moses Church, Justin Hitchcock, Luke Hitchcock (Justin Hitchcock's father), Eliphalet Hall and Medad Sandersen.
