From a series of images documenting Eleanor Roosevelt's visit to the University of Massachusetts. Roosevelt was the first person brought to campus under the Distinguished Visitors Program, although earlier in the year, Aaron Copland had been jointly sponsored by the DVP and Fine Arts Festival. She spoke in the Student Union Ballroom on US foreign policy and met informally with students afterward.
