An arrangement of Christmas Rose and iris stylosa (now called iris unguicularis or Algerian Iris). Leighton, born in London in 1898, was a prominent 20th-century printmaker and a master of the woodcut. She moved to the United States in 1939 and gained an appointment in Duke University's Department of Art, Aesthetics, and Music in 1949.
