The Lawrence Library opened in 1901, a gift from Pepperell native Charles Farrar Lawrence to the town. The Beaux-Arts style library was designed by renowned New York architect Ernest Flagg and W.B. Chambers. Our historical collections document the visual history of Pepperell, including industries, farming, schools, celebrations, and leisure activities of typical New England small towns.
