'My Uncle Al from the Bronx, New York, was stationed at Fort Standish on Lovells Island during WWII. The U.S.O. sponsored an arts and crafts contest. Al won first prize for this weaving that he made from ladies' stockings. First prize was $10.00 of ration coupons. Pictured: Alfred E. Gall.'
