Electro-Tint Engraving Co. · 1900
The Electro-Tint Engraving Company, Philadelphia started in business in 1888 supplying electrotypes from art. Eventually their primary business, starting in about 1898, was supplying printing plates for three-color printing to companies throughout the US. This saved printers the difficulty of making color separations and accurate plate making. This Electro-Tint Engraving Company sample book: Stock Album No. II, ND (ca. 1900), 29 un-numbered pages of three color halftone illustrations from art. There is a two page discussion of the cost of printing plates and sizes available. -- David A. Hanson documentation
