Ten linen fragments of mummy wrappings with Hieratic Egyptian inscriptions. Four fragments are mounted together in a small frame; the others are housed in individual folders. Hieratic script was in use from approximately 2900 BCE to 200 BCE, but no translation or more definite date accompanies these fragments. From the collection of Vassalli Bey, Hon. Curator of the Boulaque Museum in Cairo, Egypt. Gift of Mr. Horace Mayer to Williams Museum College of Art, 1961. Transferred from Williams College Museum of Art.
