Clinton #2 This file contains raw footage of an interview with artist Clinton Adams and former director of the University of New Mexico Art Museum. Adams discusses an early exhibition he was a part of and his overall art practice. In 1944, Adams first saw Jackson Pollock's art in Peggy Guggenheim's studio and talks about his influence drawn from Mark Rothko. Adams also mentions various artists including, Robert Motherwell, Clyfford Still, Edward Hopper, Stuart Davis, and John Marin. The lively discussion is conducted by former director of the UNM Art Museum, Peter Walch and is illustrated with Adam’s paintings, drawing and lithographs.
