This article, titled "Star Sparkles at SC Task," was published on April 4, 1969 in an unidentified newspaper. It describes the Springfield College work week led by Art Linkletter, a trustee, to raise money for the natatorium. The photograph shows Linkletter assisting with work at the home of John A. Deegan in Springfield College. The more than two hundred and twenty-five students who participated performed a variety of tasks, from trimming hedges to moving telephone poles. During his thirty-house stay, Linkletter made a total of twenty-six appearances throughout the area. He believed so strongly in the need for a natatorium that he sold his house for $250,000 and donated the money to the project.
