Four newspaper articles about local Provincetown artists and a photo of Nancy Ferguson, the last outdoor artist, who died on January 3, 1967. May 15, 1967 article in the Cape Cod Standard Times reports the Selectmen's vote to eliminate sidewalk artists in Provincetown. A March 25, 1948 article tells the story of Charles Kaeselau, a locally and nationally known artist, who was commissioned by Seamen's Savings Bank to paint a howling southwester in Provincetown harbor. Two years later a captain whose vessel was depicted noticed a discrepancy and five years after that Kaeselau arrived back in town and with one stroke of his brush corrected the error.
