Trustman, Benjamin A., Trustman, Julia M. · 1845
A man is sweaty and tired from watering his plants. "La canicule" or "Dog-Days" were the extremely hot and humid summer days that occurred between 3 July and 11 August in Paris. The expression is used all over the Mediterranean area and seems to be related to the position of the star Sirius (in the constellation of the Great Dog).
