A letter to Benjamin Silliman in which Edward Hitchcock writes about some of his scholarly works for the American Journal of Science. He notes that he will be unable to get the end of a piece on geology to Silliman before March, and prefers the that botanical catalog not be published in the next issue. He also discusses a plant in the botrychium family.
