A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Benjamin Silliman discusses the inclusion of one of Hitchcock's geological maps and his writings on botony in The American Journal of Science, as well as several other pieces Hitchcock is working on. Silliman also comments on Mr. Whitney's state of health and informs Hitchcock about a new work by William Conybeare and William Phillips.
