A letter in which Benjamin Silliman assures Edward Hitchcock that his piece, and a piece by Stephen Williams, will appear in a future issue of The American Journal of Science. Silliman also expresses his satisfaction with the execution of Hitchcock's geological map and his surprise at learning of Hitchcock's change of pursuits.
