Detail of 24' long by 8' high mural, acrylic paint on plywood. The mural is affixed to the side of the Boston Edison building in the Plaza Betances. Text on the ribbon above the mural reads, "Culture, legacy and our Latin pride." Artists Nora Valdez and Roberto Chao directed the project. Teenage participants in a three-month training program executed most of the work. Villa Victoria plaza and its blue sign are depicted in a segment at the top.
