Detail of the 30' x 20'ceramic tile mural in the Plaza Betances. The pieces were created by participants, many of them children, in Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción's various programs. This detail shows musical instruments. Inscribed in the clay are two references to Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción -- the acronym Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción and Areyto. Areyto was a program of Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción that sought to empower participants through art and cultural heritage.
