"A Little Girl of Long Ago," painted by Susanna Winn. Watercolor of a small girl, wearing a yellow, knee length dress. The skirt is puffed out and has 3 rows of colored decorations, getting wider as approaching the hem. Lacy bloomers are visible underneath the hem of the dress. She is wearing white gloves and stockings, and shiny black shoes. She also is wearing a black cloak with fringe and a white collar, with black and red ties. Her hat is black with red decorations, and her hair frames her face in ringlets. The girl's left hand is resting on a red velvet chair. There is a fireplace on the left side of the painting and a closed door in the back. The mantle has a blue cloth over it, and something white decorated with flowers is placed on the end. The walls are blue and the floor has a blue and white striped carpet. In deep gilded frame. There are various decorations, including sprays of flowers in the corners, ribbons on the center of each side, and inside and outside borders. The mat is raised slightly from the painting and has shiny gold borders. The painting is slightly misalligned. Possibly painting of donor. Alternately, donor painted how a girl looked when she was that age.
