Hamilton" written on back. Duplicate of photograph has note penciled on back: "A 70 year old stand of white pine from which half of the stems were removed in 1932. Pine reproduction is showing up this spring and will receive stiff competition from the hardwood sprouts present on the site." "Please return photo to Massachusetts State College, News Service, Amherst, Massachusetts" stamped on back of duplicate.
