View of dirt path in the country. A man with closed eyes makes his way with the aid of a small dog on a leash and a walking stick. A violin, or other instrument, hangs from his belt. He greets a woman and child on the side of the road. Piece titled at top "Musée de l'amateur", or "Museum of the amateur", and at the bottom: "Le Vieux Menetrier", or "The Old Fiddler", and is also the title of a comic song, written by Emile Durafour.
