To Immigrants with Love: Roslindale

Mural created by Heidi Schork and the Mayor's Mural Crew in 2017 in Roslindale. The mural, funded through the Department of Parks and Recreation's Mayor's Mural Crew program, was painted to represent Boston's commitment to stand with immigrant communities. Painted on the brick of three attached sides of a local building, the mural depicts three portraits surrounded by bright turquoise, orange, and pink floral and bird illustrations. The first wall of the mural reads, "To: Immigrants, With love" in large painted letters. The second wall continues the floral and bird designs. Towards the left side of the third wall, the portrait Alex Castillo is painted. Lois and Beatrice White are portrayed on the far left. All three of the people portrayed came to Boston from other countries, living and working in the nearby area of the mural. Throughout the three walls, four quotes in different languages are scattered throughout the mural, all of which say, "You will always be welcome in Boston, " said by Mayor Martin J. Walsh.
