Faces of Codman Square

A mural painted by Jameel Parker in 2002 on the side of a Walgreen's building in Dorchester. The mural includes portraits of community members, including children, elders, and individuals wearing police uniforms, basketball jerseys, and professional suits. Some portraits are painted in color, others are in black and white. The mural also depicts Charles Walgreen, who is not from Boston and yet is included due to the location of the mural. Some historically significant buildings are painted between the portraits.
